Jaguar XKR-S - playing at Goodwood ahead of the FoS
It’s really quite hard to put the new Jaguar XKR-S in a pigeon hole. The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is a month away, which means most teams are starting to feel the pressure of challenging one of the oldest races in the world. There might be a little extra anxiety this year for Hyundai driver Rhys Millen, whose father, Rod Millen, will make his return to the 156-turn mountain course. Rod Millen held the world record at Pikes Peak for 13 years with a time of 10 minutes, 4.06 seconds.
Noted car collectors Sam and Emily Mann won their fourth Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance Best in Show award with a 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster (with covered spare). This car is one of only three known to have been built. Originally shipped to the German embassy in Argentina, the Manns have owned the car for about 18 years.
